Easter Break

Our Easter break began on Wednesday.  The kids were done school on Wednesday afternoon, and their break was scheduled to run through Monday. As soon as they got home from school on Wednesday, they found out their principal Ms. Gudz has died and school would be closed on Tuesday as well.

I had to work on Thursday, so my break didn’t begin until after work that night, when we were invited over to the Varani’s for a barbeque.  It was a fun time, with the highlight of the night being Kevin’s burgers, which are special because he’s probably the last person I know who grills over charcoal.  It really does give the burgers a much better taste than over a gas grill.  We were joined by Kevin’s buddy Brian Schweitzer; unfortunately his wife Kathy couldn’t stay.

Aside from a little dispute about Villanova basketball, we had a great time and it is nights like this we wish we could pick up our current house and plop it back into the old neighborhood.  It’s those little impromptu get togethers that made the neighborhood such a great place to live.
